If you had to guess, what would you say the World’s most toxic food is? A McDonald’s cheeseburger? A hot dog with chili and cheese? Maybe deep fried Twinkies? I’ll give you a hint, it’s more of a side dish and we eat it with most foods that are deemed “bad” or “unhealthy.” Give up? How about GUILT?
Guilt is one of the most toxic substances we can fill our bodies with yet so many people seem to stuff themselves with it every day. We have all been told what foods are good and which are bad and the list continues to grow and change with every passing day. It can be quite exhausting.
Everything in the Universe is energy simply vibrating at different frequencies. Most of us by now are familiar with the Law of Attraction which states that like energies attract like energies. Your body and the foods you eat are no different. You are vibrating at a certain frequency based on how clear your mental, emotional and physical body is. The more toxins, the lower your vibration. The more you do things to cleanse and detoxify, either your body mind or emotional body, the more you raise you vibration.
Foods are no exception. The highest vibrating food is the sun, providing us with nourishment at the highest level. Then all uncooked live foods (fruits/veggies), naturally grown foods, cooked foods, and finally meats and processed foods at the lowest end of the spectrum.
The old saying says “You are what you eat.” I agree with this statement and would also like to add that “We eat what we are.” Where ever we are on our journey as a human being is what we are going to attract to us. So if you are feeling good about yourself and your life (higher vibration), it is much easier to choose healthy, higher vibrating foods. Whereas on the other hand, if you are going through trying times, mentally/emotionally toxic, depressed, etc, than you are more than likely going to choose foods that are vibrating much lower (your favorite comfort foods). And along with these foods usually comes the most harmful side dish… GUILT! Filling our bodies with more toxins than any food we could possibly eat, lowering our vibration even more.
One of the most powerful ways to raise your vibration is through complete acceptance of ourselves. Instead of beating yourself up for that chocolate cake you are eating, why not recognize that life is a journey of ups and downs and have compassion. We can be completely honest with ourselves and say. “I know that I am feeding my emotions right now, and I know that this is not the most “healthy” food for me, and I’ll probably feel like crap physically after eating it, but this is simply where I am at right now in my life and it is OK. I am going to continue to grow and evolve just like everything in nature. Then say a blessing over the cake and thank all the people that were responsible for bring this delicious slice of comfort pie before you. Infuse it with a ray of light through your hands, then enjoy the hell out of it.
It’s time to move beyond the guilt associated with eating (and every other aspect of our lives) and the way to the other side is through complete acceptance. Foods will naturally come into and fall out of your life as you grow. You can evolve naturally or you can choose to evolve faster if you’d like through spiritual practices such as yoga, meditation & fasting.
Fasting is a great way to quickly raise your vibration. By flooding your body with high vibration juices, you drastically lower your toxin level (physical, mental and emotional), and in turn, raise your vibration (moving you toward the light). Lower vibrating foods no longer vibrate with you and effortlessly fall out of our lives. This is however, not a onetime, quick fix as the toxins will accumulate once again. But as we grow in our spiritual practice, we will learn to process our emotions more efficiently. We will strengthen our minds through meditation and cleanse our bodies through yoga, etc., but it is a JOURNEY! Be gentle and accepting of where you are every step of the way.
Options: Adopt periodic fasting, every 3 to 4 months initially for 7-10 days until your spiritual practice evolves to a point where you accumulate less toxins as a result, leading to a need for less fasting (once or twice a year). Note: If you do this, you may give yourself permission to eat whatever you want in between your fast. You’ll be surprised at what you begin to choose. Or make a commitment to do a juice fast for the first time (3-10 days) if you never have and go from there.
Wherever you are is perfect. Enjoy it, celebrate it and know that if you want to grow and evolve, you have access to a “fast” approach to evolution right here.
Namaste.

Good point to be mindful of when I do eat foods not of higher vibrations. Namaste
I was trying to explain this to a friend just the other day. I’ve noticed how I simply stop craving certain foods as I continue along the spiritual path. Processed foods that I used to love aren’t even tempting anymore.
I always have thought it would be interesting to work at a grocery store checkout for a day. You can tell a lot about people by what they put into their shopping cart!
I loved reading your blog- so true and so inspiring- thank you for being who you are, brother.
Love love love,
Shame, guilt free spring..
Wow Patrick. I am really impressed with your writings. Where are you living now?
