The Power of Fasting

Tags

Today we have more noise, obligations and consume more toxic substances than all other generations before us combined. Through the air, water and food, we are saturated with thousands of pollutants and chemicals. Through the media, we are infused with incessant toxic negativity.  All of these toxins are stored in our bodies giving rise to the growing number of degenerative diseases of today.

During fasting, when the distraction of noise is removed from our bodies, these toxins are released into the bloodstream, and with the proper tools, enable us to let go of them.  Our bodies will constantly and completely heal itself if we only give it the chance to do so.  Unfortunately most never do.

Many people fear fasting (for many reasons) and those who have ‘tried it,” many times stop before they make it though the first few days (which are the most challenging).  The challenging experience in the beginning stages of a fast is a result of lifetime of built-up toxins dramatically detoxifying in a short period of time. However, as the days or weeks go on, the headaches end, hunger pains quickly go away, our addictions (sugar, caffeine, sweets, etc) subside, our energy returns and our bodies begin to return to “ground zero.” Now… with our antennae clear, our body’s natural healing intelligence will take over.  Also, after the fast,  many find that they are naturally drawn to foods that continue the healing process instead of simply feeding their addictions.  This is why fasting is the most ancient and powerful healing tool available today.  This is the power of fasting.
