Recently I connected with Tom Coghill through his website www.fasting.ws.  We instantly hit it off as he shared his excitement and enthusiasm for meeting another fasting crusader.  His knowledge of fasting and his commitment to share his knowledge with the world truly inspired me.  Actually, he inspired me so much that I jumped at the opportunity to make the trip to the Philippines to assist him with groundbreaking research that is being conducted at The St. Theodores Hospital in Sagada. 

During my stay, I will have the priviledge of working directly with Tom and the clinc administrator, Dr. Clare Lalwet on the integration of natural healing into standard medical practice focusing on cancer and chronic degenerative diseases using therapeutic fasting, juicing, herbs, supplements, detoxification procedures and alternative treatment modalities.  This is work that is being documented and published in order to establish a global database of therapeutic fasting and detoxification procedures. 

Besides volunteering  in the hospital, I plan on visiting Malapacao Private Island Fasting retreat, run by Leeann Cruz.  From what Tom tells me and from the beautiful pictures (above), it sounds like an unforgettable, natural island paradise.  So, if you want to get away to fast in the next few months, contact me and let me know when you would like to come and I will make arrangements to meet you there.
